San Diego’s beloved Mother Goose Parade has been bringing joy to families since 1947, and this year was no exception. On November 20, 2005, Big Box Storage proudly joined the celebration as an official sponsor of the event. Our team also stepped in as volunteers, rolling up our sleeves to help make this year’s parade one to remember.
For more than seven decades, the Mother Goose Parade has held a special place in the hearts of San Diegans. With colorful floats, marching bands, community organizations, and celebrity appearances, it offers something for everyone. What started as a local event has grown into one of the largest single-day events in San Diego County and remains one of the biggest parades of its kind in the United States.
Each year, the streets of El Cajon, California, come alive as hundreds of thousands of spectators gather to enjoy the festivities. The parade has become a treasured tradition that bridges generations, bringing families, neighbors, and local businesses together in a powerful display of community pride.
At Big Box Storage, we believe that being a local business means more than serving customers. It means being part of something larger. We see it as our responsibility to give back and support the events that bring people together and build lasting memories.
By sponsoring the 2005 Mother Goose Parade, we had the opportunity to invest in something that aligns with our values: tradition, family, and local connection. But our involvement didn’t stop at writing a check. Members of our team also volunteered their time to support parade organizers in the lead-up to the big day and during the event itself.
We were there to lend a hand, help coordinate logistics, and most importantly, share in the excitement with our fellow community members.
