How Long-Distance Shipping Works
If you’re looking for a convenient solution to move your belongings outside of San Diego, Big Box makes it easy! We ship to affiliate locations in over 18,000 metropolitan areas across the United States.
Schedule your delivery and shipment
Use our online tool or call our friendly professionals to schedule your Big Box delivery for your preferred date and time and arrange shipment to your desired destination. Not sure how many Big Boxes you need? Each Big Box fits about one room’s worth of contents. Use our space estimator as a guide, or just order extra — don’t sweat it, we’ll only charge you for the Big Boxes you use!
We bring the Big Box right to your door
It’s that simple! Tight parking or living in an apartment? Our delivery drivers rarely have difficulty finding a suitable spot to place the Big Box(es). Typically, two Big Boxes can be placed anywhere a car would fit. We can also arrange to deliver your Big Box while you’re away as long as our team has clear instructions on where to place it.
Load at your own pace
There’s no need to hurry! Long-distance shipping with Big Box includes 30 days of free storage, so you can start up to a month before your shipment at no additional cost! Big Boxes are lockable and equipped with weatherproof coverings so your items stay safe if you’re loading over several days (and during shipment).
Ship to your destination
All you need to do is give us your destination city, and we’ll handle the rest. We only partner with top-quality freight companies and movers, so you can rest assured that your belongings are in good hands during transit.
Accessing your items
We offer two convenient options for accessing your items once you’ve reached your destination. We can ship your Big Box to an affiliate freight facility where you can pick them up within three business days of arrival, or we can arrange with local movers to bring your items right to your address.
