Big Box Storage partners with San Diego’s Serra Mesa Food Pantry

One of the biggest challenges our nation faces daily is hunger. Right here in San Diego, many people don’t know where their next meal will come from. To help our community, Big Box Storage has teamed up with the Serra Mesa Food Pantry to store non-perishable food items for families in need.

The Serra Mesa Food Pantry, a local non-profit, has been helping since May 2010. They provide food for individuals and families struggling to get basic nutritional necessities during tough times like illness, unemployment, or crisis. Their mission is simple: to lessen the impact of hunger in our community. As a partner agency of the San Diego Food Bank and Feeding San Diego, they distribute hundreds of meals every Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Big Box Storage is proud to support such an important service. By offering our storage facilities, we help the Serra Mesa Food Pantry keep their operations running smoothly. Food insecurity affects many people, and it’s vital that we all do our part to help those in need. By storing non-perishable food items, we ensure the pantry has a steady supply to distribute to families and individuals who rely on their services.

With the holidays approaching, it’s a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and consider how we can make a difference in our community. We encourage you to pick up a few extra non-perishable food items during your next grocery trip and donate them to the Serra Mesa Food Pantry. They are located at 2650 Melbourne Drive, San Diego, CA 92123. Our goal here at Big Box Storage is to fill a Big Box with donations before Thanksgiving. Imagine the impact we could make if everyone contributed just a little bit.
